One of the most mysterious creations in the THIV World Heritage series is the work “Dragonfly Woman” by the French jeweler, glass artist, and one of the most refined masters of Art Nouveau, René Lalique. This masterpiece is currently exhibited at the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon.
Among the fantastic examples of Mannerist-inspired jewelry born from the meeting of Calouste Gulbenkian and René Lalique, the most striking is “Dragonfly Woman.” This corsage piece is unique for its exquisite beauty and the mysterious charm that sparks the imagination. The woman with a dragonfly’s body is an enchanting nymph, a fantastical creation. Through this work, we aim to reveal the incredible world crafted by Lalique.
